Charles Hickson (then 42) and Calvin Parker (19) claimed that while fishing at an old shipyard on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi on the night of October 11, 1973, they saw a glowing, egg-shaped or oblong craft descend near them. They said three strange, robot-like creatures with wrinkled gray skin, crab-like claws, and no discernible eyes or mouth emerged and paralyzed them before taking them aboard the craft, where they were reportedly examined by a floating, eye-like device.

A pulsating “teardrop-shaped” object circled the FedEx plane as it flew near Monterrey – although it never showed up on the plane’s radar. The pilots reported that at some point, a “shiny, yellow-white plasma-like object” quickly descended from the sky to the plane’s flight altitude, and then shot a beam of light towards them. The sphere flew alongside the plane for over half an hour before disappearing with a flash of pinkish-violet light.

Listen: Oregon Police Capture ‘Sound of UFO’ in 1981

SightingSep 27, 2026

There aren't that many audio encounters of UFOs — that's what makes this sighting above the Columbia River near St. Helens, Oregon in 1981 unique. We have several minutes of police radio where officers discuss a bright luminous object "like the sun" and better yet — they record a strange sound it is emitting. J. Allen Hynek reviewed the case and called it a "total puzzle," and analysts concluded the noise does not occur in nature. This is hardly the only UFO sighting in the Portland area — there are several more worth discussing.

The Mystery of Hin Sam Wan

Oct 9, 2026

Hin Sam Wan, or Three Whale Rock, is a 75-million-year-old natural sandstone formation in Bueng Kan Province, northeastern Thailand, that resembles a family of swimming whales. The Geology and the "Mystery" • Age and Composition: Located in the Phu Sing Forest Park on the Khorat Plateau, the rocks date back roughly 75 million years to the Cretaceous period. • Natural Erosion: Geologists confirm that the whale-like shapes are the result of millions of years of natural weathering, wind, and rain. Softer surrounding rock eroded away, leaving behind massive, resilient quartz-rich sandstone blocks. • The Illusion: While internet rumors or online videos sometimes question if human hands sculpted the colossal stones due to their smooth, uniform appearance, experts agree it is entirely a work of natural geological processes.
