The Australian Story episode covers the 1966 Westall incident, Australia’s largest mass UFO sighting. The Westall Incident Overview On April 6, 1966, more than 100 students and teachers at Westall High School and Grange Road Primary School in Melbourne saw strange flying objects. Witnesses described seeing a silver, disc-shaped or cigar-shaped craft hovering over the school oval and power lines in broad daylight. The object reportedly moved at high speeds, climbed straight up, and was accompanied by a brief game of “cat and mouse” with five light aircraft before disappearing.

Real UFO video from FedEx plane

SightingSep 27, 2026

A pulsating “teardrop-shaped” object circled the FedEx plane as it flew near Monterrey – although it never showed up on the plane’s radar. The pilots reported that at some point, a “shiny, yellow-white plasma-like object” quickly descended from the sky to the plane’s flight altitude, and then shot a beam of light towards them. The sphere flew alongside the plane for over half an hour before disappearing with a flash of pinkish-violet light.

Listen: Oregon Police Capture ‘Sound of UFO’ in 1981

SightingSep 27, 2026

There aren't that many audio encounters of UFOs — that's what makes this sighting above the Columbia River near St. Helens, Oregon in 1981 unique. We have several minutes of police radio where officers discuss a bright luminous object "like the sun" and better yet — they record a strange sound it is emitting. J. Allen Hynek reviewed the case and called it a "total puzzle," and analysts concluded the noise does not occur in nature. This is hardly the only UFO sighting in the Portland area — there are several more worth discussing.

TESS Satellite Discovered Its 1st World Orbiting 2 Stars

SightingSep 29, 2026

Researchers working with data from NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) have discovered the mission’s first circumbinary planet, a world orbiting two stars. The planet, called TOI 1338b, is around 6.9 times larger than Earth, or between the sizes of Neptune and Saturn. It lies in a system 1,300 light-years away in the constellation Pictor. The stars in the system make an eclipsing binary, which occurs when the stellar companions circle each other in our plane of view. One is about 10% more massive than our Sun, while the other is cooler, dimmer and only one-third the Sun’s mass. TOI 1338b’s transits are irregular, between every 93 and 95 days, and vary in depth and duration thanks to the orbital motion of its stars. TESS only sees the transits crossing the larger star — the transits of the smaller star are too faint to detect. Although the planet transits irregularly, its orbit is stable for at least the next 10 million years. The orbit’s angle to us, however, changes enough that the planet transit will cease after November 2023 and resume eight years later.
